Australia First Party’s Eureka Flag Logo was approved by the Australian Electoral Commission on April 28 2017.
Notably on this day in 1770, Lieutenant James Cook landed at Botany Bay in Australia, rowed ashore from his bark HMS Endeavour.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) received two applications to review its decision last year to allow Australia First Party a ballot paper logo featuring the Eureka Flag and the words ‘Australia First’.
The AEC has affirmed its previous decision and dismissed the two applications for review.
We link to one from the organisation ‘Eureka’s Children’. We pass no comment on these review applications.
The party notes that a Bill is currently before Federal Parliament to permit all sorts of historical (sic), cultural (sic) and other challenges to our use of the registered logo.
This free for all history wars brawl is welcomed by Australia First Party should the Bill become law.
