So within Donald Trump’s first hundred days, the Pentagon has hoodwinked him to beating the drums of war against North Korea. The Pentagon is self-motivated by a raison d’être to justify its existence and relevance. It needs a war to be sustained. So with ISIS all but defeated, it looks to Kim Jong-Un and thereafter Iran. It has started its propaganda to entice Australian involvement in an American pre-emptive Korean War Mark II.
Bugger Off!
The US Pentagon’s foreign incursions fuel the US Arms Industry. The Top US Arms Manufacturers are:
- Lockheed Martin (think $24 billion sales to Tony Abbott for the F-35 dog that can’t even fly in rain)
- Boeing
- Northrop Grumann
- General Dynamics
- Raytheon
- L-3 Communications
- United Technologies
- SAIC
- Oshkosh
- Computer Sciences Corp
- Honeywell
- General Electric
- Pratt & Whitney
- ITT Exelis
- KBR
- URS
- ATK
- Rockwell Collins
- Textron
- Hewlett-Packard
- ManTech
- Navistar Defense
- DynCorp International
- Goodrich
- CACI International
- etc.
This lot make US$235 billion a year, thanks to the Pentagon’;s military pipeline of foreign wars. And no wonder Trump is keen to push buttons.
Trump has taken the bait, morphing a belligerent worry of Kim’s weapons testings into a self-fulfilling regional crisis.
Trump has has sent his vice-president, Mike Pence, to South Korea, Japan and Australia to secure bilateral military commitments (instead of calling on the United Nations Security Council to do its job). Pence has declared that all options, including military action, are “on the table” to deal with the threat of North Korean nuclear weapons. “If China is unable to deal with North Korea the United States and our allies will”.
Trump has sent aircraft-carrier US Carl Vinson led task force and a guided-missile submarine toward North Korea. He has summoned all 100 U.S. senators to a classified briefing at the White House, by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Defense Secretary James Mattis and Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Nice.
Next week Trump is meeting with Turnbull in New York on board the USS Intrepid to talk war and Aussie military commitment for Korean War Mark II. Turnbull pretends he’s “delighted” to meet Mr Trump and “reaffirm our alliance”. Don’t forget our $US1.5 trillion relationship!
Yeah sure Mal. Just like how Menzies committed Australians to Truman in 1951 – Australia’s RAN assets, RAAF’s No. 77 Squadron and then 3RAR?
So the Liberal Party is all the way with Trump suddenly. PM Malcolm Turnbull must liken himself to a Robert Menzies reincarnate. But Australia already did its bit for the US in Korean War mark I. In 1951, Menzies enacted national service conscription just six years after Japan was defeated in World War II. Under Menzies warmongering National Service Act (1951), all Australian males aged 18 had to register for 176 days training (ninety-nine days full-time) and two years in the CMF.
North Korea’s self-appointed supreme leader Kim Il-Sung on June 25 1950 initiated his personal Korean War to annex South Korea and US President Truman intervened and militarily pushed the north back to a stalemate. Over 17,000 Australians served Truman during the Korean War, of which 340 were killed and over 1,216 wounded. A further 29 had become prisoners of war. It was pointless and many were forgotten. It is referred to as the forgotten war, probably because Menzies ordered more Australian men off to fight in Vietnam ten years later and even more were lost and got more media attention.
Now Kim Il-Sung’s grand son, Kim Jong-Un wants a repeat. He’s just as supremely obsessed.
Kim Jong-Un look-a-like – no doubt used by the Pentagon to garner support for its warmongering
Australia has no truck with North Korea. It is over 7000 km away up in north Asia. We did more than our bit fighting US wars in Korea and Vietnam two generations ago. We should stay the hell out of the self-interested chest beating and sabre-rattling by two hot heads, Kim and Trump.
Let the two of them sort it out over a round of golf!
Yet last week dumb bitch Julie Bishop, Australia’s Foreign Minister for indulgent jet setting, played into the Pentagon’s war gaming, publicly stating North Korea’s nuclear weapons program poses a “serious threat” to Australia, declaring Australia supported the US change of strategy and said all options were on the table, including military action.
She said North Korea could potentially strike Australia if its missile program was allowed to continue. She defended Trump’s blunt “they gotta behave” message to Kim after his missile test proved to be a dud on the Sunday prior. The Pentagon rhetoric is a dud just as Kim’s missiles are duds.
So what is Bishop’s unilateral agenda?
Julie Bishop:
“North Korea has vastly increased the threat that it poses to the region and global peace, so any rise in tensions is entirely due to the provocative behaviour of North Korea. [North Korea] is on a path to achieving nuclear weapons capability and we believe Kim Jong-un has a clear ambition to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear payload as far as the US. That would mean Australia would be in reach so unless it is prevented from doing so it will be a serious threat to the peace and stability of our region and that is unacceptable.”
Baloney!
Has Jule Bishop got shares in US Arms manufacturers?
So she’s stuck her nose into the big men stouch and unnecessarily invited retaliatory threats from North Korea, the dumb bitch.
The official response from North Korea:
“If Australia persists in following the US moves to isolate and stifle the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and remains a shock brigade of the US master, this will be a suicidal act of coming within the range of the nuclear strike of the strategic force of the DPRK. The Australian foreign minister had better think twice about the consequences to be entailed by her reckless tongue-lashing before flattering the US.”
So it’s another planned proxy war of the elites – the elites in Pyongyang, Washington and Canberra.
The Battle of Kapyong saw 94 Australians of 3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment killed, wounded or captured.
