This is our second article written by a former One Nation insider. It has been edited by Australia First writers to disguise those trivial things that would give away the identity of the author, but still allow him to write in a personal way. We shall hear from ‘Stalking Horse’ again soon enough.
I said last time that One Nation was steamrolling along. It has now as much electoral support as the Labor Party – if not more.
Some say it is surely a reaction to the slow-burn-build of public awareness that politics is a controlled game and a new party must rise to give voice to the people’s concerns at immigration and the loss of sovereignty and freedom.
Well, if you think that, you missed the main point! Politics is a controlled game and there is no reason to assume opposition to the uniparty (as One Nation describes the Liberal and Labor parties), isn’t itself part of the game!
What was it that Lenin said? “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves. Remember: One Nation has offered one of the parties of the uniparty that it will vote ‘supply’, support a minority government, or even join a coalition with it. One Nation also says it is a conservative party and consequently part of the territory the Liberal-Nationals occupy. So, how is that giving effect to the people’s voice against the uniparty?
Are we being conned? That is my fear.
On the ground intelligence
I get around. Since I last wrote for Australia First, I have attended One Nation branch meetings in a few places. I chat to people and I listen to what they say. Quite frankly, it seems many ordinary members think they are going to make a change, that they are not the system and they are a challenge to it.
That distresses me. They speak their hearts, while I see darker shadows. Of course, I have very gently raised my “concerns”, but for now, there’s scarce a murmur.
I read the other day in the Financial Review that Chris Taylor of the Australian Banking Association and former advisor to Scott Morrison, was joining One Nation as Pauline’s chief of staff. Really? I mentioned that to a One Nation official who told me that everyone is seeing the light. Naïve?
What about Mike Newman? He is an investment banker and has gone on to be promoted as One Nation’s leader in New South Wales. When questioned about One Nation’s views on immigration, he said: “My wife’s Japanese, so if I thought for even a fleeting second that [One Nation] were racist… All my business partners are Indians who are absolutely patriotic Aussies, I don’t really see that.” Of course, he was the New South Wales senior trade and investment commissioner in Tokyo from 2022 to 2024 and he says he’d like all this investment to carry on. A One Nation group of kind souls was chatting away at a meeting and concluded: “we can’t be called racist now.” How savvy of them! As I was writing, I read on One Nation Facebook: “Congratulations to Mike Newman, our NSW leader. He now has a son, called Max! Born on Friday. His own baby to kiss on the campaign trail!” It seems he is the living embodiment of Pauline’s “multiracial monoculture!”
I am finding that One Nation members don’t see they are linked in with the major parties and the establishment itself. Some think that Gina Rinehart is a bonza femme and not an oligarch and that Barnaby Joyce really was on his personal Road To Damascus when he was converted. What about Holly Hughes, a former One Nation Senator, who may return to Federal politics as a rebranded One Nation parliamentarian?
Nonetheless, I warn Australia First members and friends not to behave like the early Lutherans lecturing the Catholics on indulgences. You must take people as they are and start from there. Engage, entreaty, discuss. Remember this, when the great mass realise how they have been conned, nay betrayed, the crash of deserting, marching feet, will be the product of your hard work and your patience.
The tide of multiracial monoculture propaganda
The “multiracial monoculture” doctrine being spun by One Nation, through the mouth of Pauline herself, gives the current anti-immigration moral-political push to the rank and file. No doubt of that. Yes, there are dissenters and I have heard them. In some cases, I have noted names for the future.
Note what Pauline said on June 28:
“The Socceroos in fact represent my vision of a monocultural Australia: people from different backgrounds and cultures and nations all wearing green and gold and representing one nation under one flag and succeeding, and succeeding under the one set of values. Australian monoculture is not exclusive. It is welcoming.”
Now I say this nonsense runs a lot deeper than Pauline. That’s obvious. It is the doctrine of the leadership and for now the salve of the rank and file. After all, we don’t want to be ‘racist’ do we?
I would like to thank my Australia First contact for passing to me a preview of the material that will be distributed soon in the Londonderry electoral district in New South Wales. Yes, immigration is not about immigration (sic), it is about re-colonisation by minorities too big to assimilate, even if you wanted to do so. They don’t want monoculture except their own culture and regard one as an idiot for otherwise proposing it. They are who they are, sub-national groups linked to foreign powers.
This doctrine is the other big deception in One Nation. That’s fine with me. The clock ticks and ticks only one way. The reckoning is a few years away.
